I'm not the most vocal guy. I like to lead by example so sitting and listening is incredibly crucial. I need to be able to understand my teammates on multiple levels and look at it through that sort of "lonely" lens.
I also really liked the idea of the buffet table and not always eating “the pineapple and lobster.” Some of my most intense learning experiences stemmed from doing something I didn't want to do. I had to eat “the cauliflower” and swallow my pride and just do it because it was the right thing to do. Doing something when it is the right thing to do consistently provides me an opportunity to grow.
I would describe the 2-Day Mindful Warrior program as a time to reflect and slow down. I feel like we run through everyday in a routine and before you know it, it’s back to bed and you haven't taken the day for what it's worth. When you get those opportunities to take a minute, an hour, whatever, to reassess and reflect you can really milk the day and take something from it and that's exactly what I was able to do with the two classes.
