<image:title>Amani Legagneur</image:title>
<image:caption>Amani is a performance and culture coach at Mindful Warrior. She brings a powerful mix of precision and warmth to the nuanced challenges facing her clients. Her practice focuses on high-net-worth individuals and executives seeking both coaching and strategic consultation. She specializes in supporting clients who want to animate their passion projects and philanthropic goals with spiritual focus. Her coaching and culture design approach integrates extensive professional expertise earned, in part, from her decade-long career as System Manager of Spiritual Health and Education in one of the nation’s largest community hospital conglomerates. Considered a pre-eminent coach for those seeking to align wealth and purpose, Amani is a trusted and discrete professional. She is a careful listener who helps clients discern meaningful ways to drive impacts that deliver lasting legacies. She seeks to develop authentic and dynamic partnerships with her clients as a foundation for refining their vision, promoting their self-mastery, and amplifying their resourcefulness in service of their dreams. Her background in spiritual leadership, healthcare administration, and post-graduate clinical education uniquely equips her to assist clients in identifying and advancing their highest aspirations. Amani stands at the edge of the unknown with people in critical moments of transition, opportunity, learning, and need. She is called to do so faithfully and is trained to do so skillfully. As a result, Amani is able to coach leaders through complex, multidimensional problems. She creates and facilitates workshops to build shared agreements, shared practices, and shared consciousness in teams. Much of her work centers around cultivating more diverse, equitable, and inclusive cultures. She is adept at coaching teams to identify and honor core values through relational covenants, brave space, identity development, mindfulness, emotional intelligence, and leadership impact. As a training facilitator she helps her clients develop greater self-awareness, navigate group and system dynamics, and apply interpersonal communication strategies. Amani is an ACPE Certified Educator—a specialized spiritual leader who has completed the gold standard program of Clinical Pastoral Education (clinical residency and a minimum of four years post-masters education) in order to train clergy, masters and doctoral degree theological students, and clinicians. As such, she brings rigorous training in crisis response, conflict resolution, education theory, interpersonal neuroscience, intercultural relations, spiritual care, and multi-faith theological studies to her work at Mindful Warrior. She is an experienced retreat facilitator, proudest to have co-led a retreat with Parker Palmer and Marcy Jackson. She cut her teeth in the biomedical sciences, as a research technician in studies aimed at fighting breast cancer and AIDS Wasting disorder. Her science background provides a complementary lens to her perspective as a theological scholar. Amani graduated from Amherst College with Distinction as a dual major in Interdisciplinary Biochemistry and Spanish Language and Culture. She earned her Master of Divinity degree from Harvard Divinity School, completed her ACPE Certified Educator training at Emory Spiritual Care, completed Cognitively-Based Compassion Training (CBCT®) through the Center of Contemplative Sciences, and is nearing completion of a Ph.D. program in Spiritual Health and Education at the International University of the Caribbean. She is also an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ. A lifelong learner, Amani is enhancing her performance coaching toolkit by pursuing certification as a Co-Active Coach through the Co-Active Coaching Institute. An avid writer, she published a volume of poetry entitled, Cymbals and Thyme, and more recently contributed a chapter entitled, “The Healing Welcomer: A Postcolonial Image of Spiritual Care Response,” to Emannuel Lartey and Hellena Moon’s, Postcolonial Images of Spiritual Care: Challenges of Care in a Neoliberal Age (2020). She is an inspirational speaker and leader whose life story and vocational achievements have been featured in the Atlanta Journal Constitution twice in the last four years. If you are seeking to deepen your spiritual insight, increase your level of fulfillment and sense of purpose in career performance, enliven your enthusiasm through meaningful connection, and enhance your personal life balance—Amani is the coach for you.</image:caption>

<image:title>Kyle Begin</image:title>
<image:caption>Kyle is our Chief of Staff. In this role, Kyle serves as a strategic advisor and an organizer of the company’s various projects to further our mission and increase our impact. He creates efficient and effective work streams, facilitates communication among employees and vendors alike, organizes information, and builds relationships. Kyle is an astute business leader with two decades worth of experience in operations management and team development. Before joining Mindful Warrior, Kyle brought his analytical and artistic skills to the beauty industry. Most recently, he worked directly with the senior team of Aveda, including the founder and CEO, where he learned the importance of setting an example for environmental leadership and responsibility. As a result, Kyle has a proven track record of establishing successful business processes through implementing critical operational improvements that lead to standardization and increased efficiency. Kyle grew up riding and competing on horses in the hunter/jumper class. Working with and training horses taught him the power of reciprocity and mutual respect. Horses are extraordinary teachers. From them he learned the importance of being authentic, how to be present, learning to let go, clearly communicating what you mean, and being part of a tribe. Kyle continues to pursue his love and passion for horses and hopes that Mindful Warrior will include horses in our performance coaching process one day. We hold this dream alongside him! Kyle graduated from Boston University in graphic design and from Burdett College in business merchandising. He started his career as a fashion buyer, eventually winning awards while travelling the world to select the latest merchandise from fashion runways and designer showrooms. Kyle successfully forecasted trends and identified new and upcoming brands. He lives in the greater Boston, Massachusetts area and is a beloved and doting father to Maggie, a mini schnauzer and Beaumont, a bluetick coonhound.</image:caption>

George also designs and curates our training and marketing materials. A former pro-soccer player who was born in Germany, George grew up in Missouri and moved to the Monterey Peninsula to attend California State University Monterey Bay where he earned a kinesiology degree. A former specialist at Apple where he was the go-to-guy for client’s technology woes, George most recently worked at Lululemon where he managed their social media, including photography, marketing, and event promotion. On a multi-day photoshoot for Mindful Warrior (before he joined our team) we asked George what he thought our company was all about. His answer has become our unofficial motto: “you guys have fun and get sh*t done!” When George is not in the office designing killer content, he’s throwing weights around at the gym, hanging out with friends, ripping backflips, and flying his drone.</image:caption>

<image:title>Cornelia Holden</image:title>
<image:caption>Cornelia Cannon Holden is the founder and CEO of Mindful Warrior where she oversees the strategic direction, culture, and global operations of the Sun Valley, Idaho–based performance coaching and culture design company. Since the company’s founding in 2004, Cornelia has spent nearly two decades collaborating with elite athletic coaches, forward-thinking executives, industry leaders, and pioneering educators to address leadership and team effectiveness. She brings an analytic rigor and a mindful presence to the complex problems facing her clients by coaching them to link behaviors to culture design and performance outcomes. Cornelia coaches and consults clients at all levels of an organization—from board members to first line leaders. Her work includes coaching in leadership development; workshops in diversity, equity and inclusion; advancing women and underrepresented minority leaders; and facilitating organizational change management. She leads behavior change initiatives inside organizations, which clients consistently describe as transformational. Cornelia is recognized for her expertise in equipping leaders to develop mindset and behavior changes required to effect lasting culture transformation, value creation, process adoption, and performance optimization. Drawing on her extensive educational background and experience, Cornelia has worked with clients in a wide variety of industries including Olympic and U.S. national athletics; globally renowned boarding schools and universities; national not-for-profits; and top-10 tech and private wealth management firms. Applying the Mindful Warrior Culture Design model, Cornelia helps her clients to devise and deploy innovative business solutions as they build behavioral neuroscience-informed sustainable management systems. She has deep experience in advancing performance objectives and enhancing operational excellence at individual, team, and organizational levels. Integrity and innovation are in Cornelia’s DNA—her work ethic is fueled by her visionary spirit. Cornelia grew up in her great-grandparents’ house in Lincoln, Massachusetts. She is inspired by her eponymous great-grandmother, Cornelia James Cannon, who was an author and social reformer and her great grandfather, Harvard Medical School Professor Walter Bradford Cannon, the visionary physician-researcher who coined the term “fight or flight response” and developed the concept of homeostasis. Cornelia credits her penchant for developing cutting-edge techniques that advance purpose-driven excellence to her forebears—a lineage of New England academics, doctors, and lawyers also celebrated for their athletic achievements. Cornelia inherited a love of athletics and began ski racing when she was just six years old. She won a NCAA Division II giant slalom ski racing title but, at the age of 21, was gravely injured in a ski accident. Challenged by a coup, contrecoup traumatic brain injury, she spent the next decade studying and healing her central nervous system. Seeking an in-depth understanding of the intersection between the Eastern and Western wisdom traditions that supported her recovery, Cornelia earned a Master of Divinity degree from the Harvard Divinity School (HDS) in 2003. She complemented her theological studies at HDS with graduate courses at Harvard Business School (HBS). As an extension of her studies at HBS, Cornelia worked for a year at The Bridgespan Group, a subsidiary of Bain & Company, where she was introduced to management consulting. Her interdisciplinary education sparked Cornelia’s desire to create a model of performance excellence that integrates mindfulness, elite athletic training techniques, business acumen, and emotional-spiritual intelligence. During her tenure with USA Hockey, the women’s national team achieved its first-ever world No. 1 ranking. After the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, and building on her work with the women’s national ice hockey team, Cornelia continued to develop leadership programs for emerging and established leaders. Cornelia is a certified NeuroTransformational Coach, and completed her training as a Co-Active Coach through the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI). She lives in Idaho with her family. <image:title>Cornelia Training</image:title>
<image:caption>When not working, Cornelia loves to play tennis, heli-ski, x-country ski, downhill ski, Randonne ski (you get the idea) or be in, under, or on the snow with her family and beloved dog, McKinley. She loves mountains and rivers, adores her friends, is grateful her husband has a wicked sense of humor which her daughter inherited, and enjoys making a mean salad, baking Jim Lahey’s famous No-Knead bread, sipping nettle or Lapsang Souchang tea, watching her daughter watch movies, hiking in the Alps, and, yes, facing a Zendo wall for long periods of meditation. She is sometimes asked how she’s come to know what she knows. The answer is more than what’s below, but the following list offers some measure of the scope and depth of her more than twenty years of professional development training.
